Clarus Networks achieves King’s Award for Enterprise

clarus networks kings award 2026

Edinburgh, 6 May 2026 — Clarus Networks has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, placing the company among just 185 UK organisations recognised in 2026.

The award celebrates Clarus Networks’ international expansion and the growing global demand for its managed connectivity services, which help organisations maintain reliable communications across remote, mobile and operationally challenging environments.

Founded in 2014, Clarus Networks has grown into a global provider of satellite, wireless and enterprise network solutions. Its services support customers across sectors including maritime, transport, construction, utilities, broadcast media and emergency services, where resilient connectivity is increasingly critical to day-to-day operations.

The company’s growth has been shaped by the rapid adoption of low Earth orbit satellite communications, including Starlink, and by its ability to bring emerging technologies into markets and environments where traditional infrastructure cannot always meet operational demands.

With a team of 92 people, Clarus Networks now supports customers across the UK, Europe, the Americas and other international markets. The King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade recognises both the strength of that growth and the company’s role in exporting UK connectivity expertise to customers around the world.

Derek Phillips, Managing Director of Clarus Networks, said:

“Achieving the King’s Award for Enterprise is a massive moment for us. When my wife Debra and I set up Clarus Networks, we knew we were building something that we truly believed in, so to receive this level of recognition is incredibly special.

“We applied because we genuinely believe in what we are doing: taking new technologies such as low Earth orbit satellite communications, pushing the boundaries of what they can deliver, and bringing them into new verticals and markets across the globe.

“International growth has been a major part of our journey, but it has always been built on the same foundations: delivering reliable solutions, supporting customers properly and helping organisations stay connected in places where traditional infrastructure is limited, unavailable or no longer fit for purpose.

“To receive this Award in the International Trade category is a significant milestone for Clarus and gives us an even stronger platform as we continue to expand globally.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s commitment to continuing the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in celebrating exceptional UK businesses.

Now in its 60th year, the King’s Awards for Enterprise remain the UK’s most prestigious business accolades. Successful organisations may use the King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years, signalling excellence to customers, partners and global markets.

Applications for the 2027 round will open on 6 May 2026.
